Artwork: Sunset with Fortune

"Fortune" is the name of the winged wolf animal in the picture. She is actually a wolf type gryffin; you can't see it at this angle, but she has an eagle's beak.

These characters aren't mine, by the way. They are from: http://forgottendocuments.com/...

Surrounded by enemies, the elder vampire Aldrich meets his end after over a thousand years of not-living.

Done for mango boo's art contest on Gaia. The character is © mango boo. In mango's story, to kill a vampire you must remove their heart.

Photoshop 7.0, 7-8 hours.

The angle on her head is off. I didn't realize how much that affected the composition -- the sketch looked much better when she was actually facing the sun. Oh well. :S

It was really nice to paint something for myself. It's been long... way too long.

Done for a contest. I was working in a tight schedule, so this is very rushed in some places. For that reason I didn't like this picture initially, but it's grown on me after I stared at it for a while ^^;

I did a couple more entries for this particular contest. I'll upload...

A submission for a contest on an online forum. I haven't sent it in yet. Let me know which version you guys like better -- the main one, or the shiny one.

This is pretty different from my other stuff in terms of style/ colors. I used Painter from start to finish.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything, huh? Been very busy with job and my webcomic...

Anyway, this is my submission to an art contest on Gaia . The contestants had a variety of choice for the subject matter, including several dolls that the contest host owned, as well as...

It's been a while. Been busy with work Anyway, these two characters are from my graphic novel Haru-Sari (which will be available on Haru-Sari.com starting from November 25!

I like the oil painty feel of this piece. The perspective is kinda screwy, but I can't put my finger on...

Artwork: Red Silk

Her silk dress is turning into a flock of moths. I got this idea while randomly thinking about the fact that to produce silk, the silkworms must be killed. The silkworms would otherwise mature into moths like the ones I painted (except they're off-white colored and are smaller).

THE WINGS. They're such an important part of the picture, yet I've done a truly craptacular job coloring them. You know what, I'm NOT going to attempt another picture like this before studying stuffed birds properly.

Other than that, I think this pic is okay... I mean,...

Not exactly my masterpiece, but I felt this piece had a couple of personal mini-accomplishments. I mean, it has a GUY in it It had been a while since I did a finished picture of an adult male... (and it shows) Also, I like the mood of the pic.

Artwork: Lilium

Eyes do deceive. At a first glance, it's just a cute little angel girl holding a winged teddy bear... But why are the lilies bleeding? Is she evil? Or is she trapped in some sort of sad fate (hence the expression)? Perhaps this isn't as harmless as it might first appear.

But wait....

I think I'm beginning to learn how colors work, but this is really only the beginning. I have a long way to go. Still, I consider this a huge improvement compared to my earlier attempts at blending colors (you can see those at my site . Painted in Photoshop 7.0.

Artwork: Tabby Angel

Painted in Photoshop 7.0. If bird type angels have bird limbs, kitty angels should have cat limbs instead of wings. It's only logical. (Yes, I realize the anatomy isn't exactly logical/plausible... )

Speaking of anatomy, I originally had the kid lean on a big cushion, then later...
